Robert Dorenbusch, D.O.

Robert M. Dorenbusch, D.O., is a native of Indiana. He was born in Indianapolis and grew up in Columbus, Indiana. He attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate education where he obtained a B.A. in English. He then obtained a M.S. in Physiology from the Indiana University School of Medicine. For medical school, he graduated from the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Dorenbusch completed his general surgery residency at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He is currently a member of the Naab Road Surgical Group and also serves as faculty for the residency program where he trained.
His surgical interests include the breadth of general surgery, focusing on abdominal surgery including surgery of the digestive tract and hernias. He takes call for both the acute care surgery service and the trauma service at Ascension St. Vincent.
Dr. Dorenbusch and his wife, Claire, live in the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood of Indianapolis. They have one son and an Australian Shepard.
