Dr. Ian Ferries was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana before moving to Indianapolis to attend Butler University. He graduated with a bachelor’s in science degree in biology and went on to study at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis where he received his master’s degree in biology.
Dr. Ferries attended the Indiana University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he completed is general surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to complete a Fellowship in Trauma Surgical and Critical Care at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Ferries is board certified by the American College of Surgeons in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Medical Association.
As a Critical Care trained Trauma Surgeon, he is passionate about the care of the complex, critically ill trauma and surgical patients of Indiana.
Dr. Ferries and his wife Kaitlin have two children. He enjoys golfing, sailing and is an avid sports fan.
