Dr. Thomas Tigges grew up in Dubuque, Iowa where he was designated
as a State of Iowa Scholar. He attended the University of Iowa,
graduating with honors in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Zoology. Dr. Tigges attended the University of Iowa School
of Medicine, earning his medical degree in 1986. From there, Dr.
Tigges moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to complete his general surgery
residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in 1991.
Dr. Tigges then joined the staff at the Wichita Clinic, Wichita,
Kansas until March 1993. He joined the Naab Road Surgical Group
in April 1993, and since then has been selected three times by the Indianapolis
Monthly Magazine as a "Top Doc" in the area of Breast
Cancer Surgery. He was also selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor
Society in 2003 by the Indiana University School of Medicine in recognition
of his Volunteer Clinical Faculty Services.
Dr. Tigges is board certified by the American Board of Surgery
and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also
a member of the American Medical Association, American Society
of Abdominal Surgeons, Midwest Surgical Society, Indiana State
Medical Society, and the Indianapolis Medical Society.
Dr. Tigges and his wife Conna are the proud parents of six children,
and enjoy spending time together in the country.
